XD MOULD was founded as a machining shop originally and its primary business was parts & components machining in the start-up stage for customers overseas. PARTS & COMPONENTS MACHINING is where the company began and have been growing.

Our standard process:

STEP 1. To make sure the final, delivered parts or components are perfectly produced, our Design & Engineering Team will inspect and analyze your parts drawings before production. Our engineers will analyze your project / products for every details such as parting line, draft angle, thin steel area, undercut, waterline interference etc. Proposals for every problem will be offered to you for discussion till all problems are solved.


STEP 2. Once all factors have passed the tests and meet with all requirements, our engineers will mark each surface of the parts with specific colors according to its different functions and point out the specific type of the threads. Such as molding surfaces, PL, kiss-off , shut off, etc. Our Project Management Team will arrange the production as soon as we get your final confirmation and approval.


STEP 3. Our years of manufacturing experience, talented teams and advanced facilities allow XD MOULD to provide the suitable and best solution for specific requirements. Our fully experienced engineers will choose the most cost effective and efficient processing combination of the CNC machinery, EDM, WCUT, and other facilities to reduce the cost and assure the timely delivery.



STEP 4. We will give you highly personal attention backed with outstanding customer services and understanding of your cares. Our Project Management Team will dedicate to your project at every stage and offer Certified Material Test Report, Heat Treatment Report and Dimensional Inspection Report for you as reference. And in order to keep you informed and updated, our project managers will submit weekly progress reports by e-mail for you to track the production schedule. All of work from material purchasing, machining, assembling, testing have to be monitored by QC.

According to your initial product concept and requirements, our experienced engineer team, fully engaged with customers throughout every step of the projects, develop your ideas from conceptual sketches, renderings to ready-to-tool parts and assembly designs. 3D models & detailed DFM ( Design for Manufacturing ) feedback of your parts will be provided.

Mould design

In-house mould design and manufacturing are our expertise and major business. Whether you require a whole mould making project, or just mould design service, our engineering team is always at your disposal.


XD MOULD is committed to providing superior mould design and engineering services. Our routine mould design process is as following:

1) According to your initial product concept and requirements, our experienced engineers will generate 3D models of your parts with the state of the art Solid Modeling software systems.

2) Reverse Engineering

3) DFM (Design for Manufacturing) process. Feasibility Analysis Report will be offered prior to mould design.

4) Mould Flow Analysis

5) With our advanced software solutions, we will produce highly detailed computer-aided design and manufacturing drawings. Dimensions, tolerance and every details are all documented. An engineering report including 2D drawings and 3D models will be created for the customers as reference.

Mould Making

MOULD MAKING

All moulds manufactured at XD MOULD are designed and fully engineered as complete 3D Assembly Models using the state of the art CAD/CAM software.

Detailed design reviews and check-offs are integral to our process.Our project management team leading by the boss, review each mould designs, working along with the engineers to ensure accurate manufacturing scheme with best possible outcome.


With all product development details engineered, designed, and reviewed, every step of the manufacturing sequences are streamlined, enabling us to respond to tight schedules much more quickly and efficiently.

Our full in-house mould making operations are vertically integrated, with little or no outsourcing required other than for specialized heat treating, certain textures, or in some special cases,such as extremely urgent schedule of customer’s project.

Design

The engineering department ( 6 x Work Station ) designs injection moulds for all kinds of thermoplastics.

Steel Preparation

Once design is finalized and final drawing is approved by customer, steel & mould base & standard components preparation begins.

We consistently use the high-standard steel material and mould bases to meet customers’ high-quality expectations. The CMTR (Certified Material Test Report) and Heat Treatment Report will be offered.


Rough Machining

As soon as the mould base arrives, rough machining begins.Our project managers will update project’s information to keep everyone involved on the same page and send Weekly Progress Report with detailed photos to keep the customers informed.


Precision Machining

Our machining department will utilize high speed CNC machinery, sink EDM,wire EDM and related precision facilities to build high precision parts and whole set of mould. A complete set of Mould Parts Inspection Report will be offered.


Polishing and Fitting

Once the mould has been precision machined, it’s finely polished to remove all machining and grinding marks. Ensuring we deliver a superior mould thatmeets exacting design specifications for both fitting and texture.



Mould Trial

When the mould building is completed, we will conduct mould trial to examine and correct any issues. Adjustments are made quickly and efficiently to ensure that your injection mould is delivered ready to run. Once everything is OK, we will provide the customer test samples for final confirmation.


For every mould sampling, we will offer test parameter table and then create checking report within 3 days. Once the sample is confirmed, we will arrange the shipment immediately.

Packing and Shipping

After receiving shipping approval from customers, we will check the mould according to the checklists and conduct about 4 hours trial production before packing to ensure mould can run well at customer’s side after mould shipping. All moulds are vacuum packed so that customers can set up the mould immediately without cleaning.
